Over the summer and winter of 2014, I had the opportunity to intern at Esquire Magazine and work closely with the designers in their art department. I was given a lot of hands on assignments creating slugs, experimenting with lettering, mocking up pages, assisting on photo shoots and other tasks.

I was given a variety of assignments that ranged from designing their company baseball league t-shirt to designing headers and seals for their monthly Style section.

In Esquire's culture section they had a running graph that charted important Things or Not Things in current events and pop culture. I was asked to design different variations for each issue.

The September Issue of Esquire had a feature called The United States of Sandwiches and I was asked to create brush lettered spot illustrations for different sections of that feature.
